William E. “Bill” Edwards III

William E. “Bill” Edwards, President and Chief Executive Officer and Director, is a founding member of the Board of Directors for the bank and the holding company. With over 35 years in commercial banking, Bill brings to MCB experience as a commercial and corporate lender, capital markets originator, investment analyst, and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Prior to his time at MCB, Bill managed commercial, corporate, and real estate lending divisions for a large regional bank, and he also worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. A graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a finance degree, Bill is also an alum of the Washington County/Johnson City and Kingsport Chamber Leadership Programs. He holds a position on the East Tennessee State University Foundation Board, and has previously served on numerous other humanitarian and community boards. Bill enjoys University of Tennessee athletics, baseball, travel, and spending time with his family.

Kevin Horne

Kevin Horne, Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Area President, is a member of the MCB Board of Directors. With a background in banking and financial services of more than 20 years, Kevin brings a wealth of experience in credit quality, commercial lending, and retail banking. In his current role at MCB, Kevin oversees the bank’s Operations Department, Credit Administration, Loan Review, Credit and Asset Quality, Retail Operations, Special Assets, and other deposit and loan functions. A graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a business degree, Kevin has been recognized as a 40 Under 40 business leader in the Tri-Cities. He is active on several area humanitarian and community boards of directors, including Junior Achievement of Johnson City. Kevin enjoys University of Tennessee athletics, hunting, fishing, and travel.

Bobby Brown

Bobby Brown, Senior Vice President, brings 20 years of banking experience in branch management, branch administration, commercial lending, bank operations, security, properties, and training. He has served as MCB’s Director of Operations and Branch Administration and Training, and has overseen the bank’s retail efforts and consumer lending in the Tri-City area. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from Bob Jones University.

Anthony “Todd” Jones

Todd Jones, Senior Vice President and Director of Investments and Financial Planning Services has extensive experience in 401(k) consulting, investment management, private banking and financial planning. Todd earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Tennessee State University. He also holds the designations of Certified Financial Planner™, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, and the Series 7 license. Todd serves on the board of directors for Appalachian Emergency Physicians.

Rebecca "Becky" Hooks

Rebecca “Becky” Hooks, Vice President and Relationship Manager, serves as a private banker for consumer and commercial loans in the Tri-Cities area, servicing a portfolio of loans and assets. She brings many years of banking experience to MCB in mortgage loan origination, commercial and consumer lending, credit administration, loan review, branch management, retail banking supervision, and branch operations. At MCB, Becky has served as a branch manager, mortgage loan originator, and currently as a Relationship Manager. She attended East Tennessee State University.

Cindy Widener

Cindy Widener, Assistant Vice President and Registered Investment Services Assistant, works with the director of investments and financial planning to manage accounts and maintain investment relationships with personal attention and service. Cindy’s previous financial services experience includes time in the loan department and customer service. At MCB, Cindy has also served as the Branch Manager at the Bristol Highway branch in Johnson City. She graduated from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and holds licenses for Series 6, Series 63, and Life, Accident and Health Insurance in the State of Tennessee. She enjoys cooking, farming, and gardening.
