William E. “Bill” Edwards is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bank and CEO and President of Mountain Commerce Bancorp (Company). With over45 years of diverse experience in lending, capital markets, and investment analysis, Bill is a seasoned commercial banker. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and previously held a certified financial planner designation. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in both regional banking and with the FDIC. As a proud alumnus of the University of Tennessee Knoxville, Bill is committed to community service. Kevin Horne, the President and a Board Member of MCB, has over 30 years of experience in banking and financial services. He specializes in credit quality and commercial lending, overseeing operations, credit administration, and retail functions at MCB. Kevin is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Southeastern School of Commercial Lending and Southeastern School of Advanced Commercial Lending. He is also recognized as a 40 Under 40 leader in the Tri-Cities area. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys attending UT athletics events, as well as outdoor activities and traveling.

Todd Jones, Senior Vice President and Director of Investments and Financial Planning Services has extensive experience in 401(k) consulting, investment management, private banking and financial planning. Cindy Widener, Vice President and Relationship Manager, serves as a commercial and consumer lender for the Tri-Cities area. Cindy’s previous financial experience at MCB includes working with the director of investments and financial planning and she also served as Branch Manager at the Bristol Highway branch in Johnson City.  Cindy graduated from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and holds licenses for Series 6, Series 63, and Life, Accident and Health Insurance in the State of Tennessee.  She enjoys cooking, farming, and gardening.

Casie Hempenstall, Assistant Vice President and Banking Service Manager, has been in the banking industry for more than five years. Her background includes customer service experience, management, and marketing. 

In 2023, she was promoted to her current role, overseeing the ITM and Call Center staff. In July 2024, she was assumed an additional role managing MCB’s Bristol Highway branch.

Shane M. Broyles, Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer, has more than 15 years of banking experience in all facets of the industry. During his banking career, which includes working for four banks in East Tennessee, Shane he has worked as a teller, customer service representative, assistant manager and loan officer.

In 2020, he joined Mountain Commerce Bank in his current role, working at the bank’s Erwin, Tennessee location.
