Mobile Deposit eligibility is based on your relationship with Mountain Commerce Bank (MCB). Your account will be reviewed for deposit activity and good account management.

Mobile Deposit is FREE to customers who meet the eligibility requirements. All customers are subject to approval. There may be charges associated with text messaging and data usage on your mobile device. Check with your wireless carrier for more information.

How do I enroll for Mobile Deposit?2022-03-18T19:31:17-04:00

You must be enrolled in MCB Online Banking to use Mobile Deposit. Simply login to your MCB Online Banking account via the MCB Mobile App which can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or the Android Marketplace. Click on the Mobile Deposit option in the menu bar. Read and accept the End User Agreement and if you meet the eligibility requirements, you will be enrolled and have access to Mobile Deposit. You will receive an email notification with the status of your registration request.

What are the limits on the number or dollar amount of checks that can be deposited?2022-03-18T19:31:33-04:00

Mobile Deposit limits are based on your relationship with the bank. Deposits which exceed your established limits will be reviewed prior to processing. If your deposit is declined, you will receive an email notification. Deposits may be subject to additional case-by-case or exception holds.

Once your check image has been submitted for deposit using your mobile device, the deposit process begins. If your Mobile Deposit is successfully completed by 5:00 p.m. EST on a banking business day, the deposit will be credited same business day and funds are normally available for withdrawal on the next business day. Mobile Deposits made after 5:00 p.m. EST, on weekends or on bank holidays will not be credited until the next business day.

If your deposit is declined, you will receive an email notification. Deposits may be subject to additional case-by-case or exception holds.

Checks must be made payable to you, be drawn on a US financial institution, and be in US dollars, such as payroll checks, government checks, and two party (personal) checks.

What types of checks are not eligible for Mobile Deposit?2022-03-18T19:34:16-04:00
  • Checks payable to any person or entity other than the person or entity that owns the account that the check is being deposited into.
  • Checks containing an alteration on the front of the check or item, or which you know or suspect, or should know or suspect, are fraudulent or otherwise not authorized by the owner of the account on which the check is drawn.
  • Checks payable jointly, unless deposited into an account in the name of all payees.
  • Checks previously converted to a substitute check, as defined in Regulation CC.
  • Checks drawn on a financial institution located outside the United States.
  • Checks that are remotely created checks, as defined in Regulation CC.
  • Checks not payable in United States currency.
  • Checks dated more than 6 months prior to the date of deposit.
  • Checks or items prohibited by the bank’s current procedures relating to the services or which are otherwise not acceptable under the terms of your account.
  • Checks with any endorsement on the back other than that specified in this agreement.
  • Checks that have previously been submitted through the Service or through a remote deposit capture service offered at any other financial institution.
  • Checks that have previously been deposited or negotiated in any way via any method at MCB or any other financial institution.
What should I do with my paper checks after I’ve deposited them with Mobile Deposit?2022-03-18T19:34:34-04:00

Once you successfully submitted a Mobile Deposit, you should retain the original check for sixty (60) calendar days. After 60 days and after you have confirmed that you received credit for the deposit, destroy the check.

  • Make sure the check amount entered matches the amount written.
  • Verify that the back of your check is signed and “Mobile Deposit Only” is written below your signature.
  • Flatten folded checks before taking a photo.
  • Keep the check within the on-screen corners when taking a photo.
  • Take photo in a well-lit environment
  • Place the check on a solid background before taking photo.
  • Keep the phone flat and steady above the check when taking a photo.
  • Make sure the entire check image is visible and in focus before submitting your deposit.
