Protect Yourself  from FRAUD!

Mountain Commerce Bank ‘MCB’ is committed to protecting our clients and their personal information from fraud. With fraudsters increasing their attempts to gain your personal information, MCB wants to remind you that the bank will NEVER call, text or email you to ask for account information, login credentials associated with online or mobile banking or any passcodes. In addition, MCB will NEVER contact a client and ask for a CODE previously received by the client.

Some common phishing and spoofing practices used by fraudsters may include:

  • Initiating a call or text message from a number that appears to be from MCB
  • Initiating an email from what appears to be MCB
  • Disguising themselves as the ‘FRAUD DEPARTMENT’
  • Requesting account information over the phone, text, or email
  • Requesting an electronic code that has been received by the client that allows access to online or mobile banking
  • Requesting login or passcode information for online or mobile banking
  • Requesting a transfer of funds from your accounts or asking for approval to transfer funds
  • Threatening behavior by the fraudster and stressing a sense of urgency

Please be vigilant any time you receive unexpected phone calls, texts or emails requesting any information. If you have not requested someone from MCB to contact you concerning your accounts, please be very skeptical and cautious when someone unexpectedly requests any personal or financial information. Please contact any MCB branch or your Relationship Manager if someone disguising themselves as representatives of MCB unexpectedly contacts you.

AS A REMINDER, unless you contact Mountain Commerce Bank for support, we will not unexpectedly call, email or text you to ask for login information, passcodes or account information.

If you have any questions, please contact your local branch or Relationship Manager.

Thank you for being an MCB client!
