KNOXVILLE, TN – November 23, 2015 – Mountain Commerce Bank (MCB), a century-old community bank with assets that recently exceeded $493 million, announced it has relocated its bank and holding company headquarters to Knoxville. The move follows the opening last spring of MCB’s second financial center in the Knoxville area, located at 6101 Kingston Pike at the corner of Northshore Drive, which will be its headquarters.
“Our presence in the Knoxville market has grown considerably over approximately nine years. In the last 12 months, our momentum has accelerated,” said Bill Edwards, president and chief executive officer of Mountain Commerce Bank. “In fact, deposits in our Knoxville region now exceed those of our base in the Johnson City market. As we considered the bank’s strategic options, Knoxville—with its diverse economy and unique growth opportunities—matched our long-term vision best.”
While MCB offers the latest banking technology, such as a mobile banking app, online banking, remote deposit capture for business, and mobile deposits for individual consumers, we pride ourselves on providing the exceptional hometown service of a community bank.
“We attract small and medium-sized businesses, professionals and long-term customers who value knowing they can pick up the phone and ask for their banker by name,” Edwards said. “To continue our recent successes, Mountain Commerce Bank will employ the same personal approach it has for over 105 years. We will get to know our clients and respond to their needs.”
In addition to its expanding presence in Knoxville, MCB has four other locations in East Tennessee.
“Mountain Commerce Bank remains committed to building responsive relationship banking at all of our locations,” Edwards said. “This means our customers will continue to have access to a dedicated, personal banker who they know on a first-name basis and who knows them equally well.”
