KNOXVILLE, TN — January 9, 2019 — As it completes a record  year, Mountain Commerce Bancorp, Inc. (OTCQX: MCBI), the Knoxville, Tennessee-based bank holding company and parent of Mountain Commerce Bank (MCB), announced the promotions today of seven key MCB staff members.

Vicki S. Weaver


Vicki S. Weaver has been elevated to Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources (HR). Weaver has been with MCB since 2007 and holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University. She has nearly 20 years of HR experience in the financial services sector.

Terry Weltman


Terry Weltman has been promoted by MCB to Senior Vice President and Senior Controller. With more than three decades of accounting and finance experience—the last ten in the banking industry with MCB—Weltman holds a bachelor’s degree from Troy University in Alabama. He’s also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Stephanie Barnes


Stephanie Barnes has been promoted to First Vice President and Relationship Manager. With more than two decades of banking experience in commercial, consumer and mortgage lending, Barnes holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Tennessee Wesleyan College. She joined MCB in 2015.

Regenia B. Ellis


Regenia B. Ellis has been promoted to First Vice President and Corporate Secretary. Ellis serves as secretary to the company and bank boards, while retaining her responsibilities as executive assistant to MCB’s chief executive officer. She joined MCB in 2008 and has nearly 40 years of retail banking experience. Ellis attended East Tennessee State University.

Kara Honeycutt


Kara Honeycutt has been promoted to First Vice President and Senior Credit Analyst. She’s been with MCB since 2007 and has more than 15 years of experience as a credit analyst in the banking field. Honeycutt earned two degrees from East Tennessee State University—a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting.

Melissa K. Haines


Melissa K. Haines has been elevated to Vice President, Security Officer and Senior Branch Operations Specialist. Haines has been with MCB for ten years and, overall, possesses more than two decades of banking experience. During her time with MCB, she has been involved in all aspects of branch operations. Currently, Haines is responsible for bank security, and teller and customer service representative training.

Cindy Widener


Cindy Widener has been elevated to Vice President and Registered Assistant. She works in MCB’s investments and financial planning group. A graduate of East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Widener also holds the title of Vice President and Private Banking Specialist with MCB’s banking team.
