Mountain Commerce Bank continues to grow, adds seasoned staff

Mountain Commerce Bank (MCB) welcomes three new employees: Debra Grecol, Virginia Dover, and Laura “Sissy” Kelly.

Debra Grecol, a mortgage consultant out of the Atlanta area, was named Mortgage Department Manager. With over 30 years’ experience in the banking and mortgage industries, Grecol will lead the secondary mortgage team, manage all aspects of the mortgage function, develop and implement policies and procedures, and generate new mortgage business for MCB.

Virginia Dover’s 18 years of experience in the banking industry with institutions like American Trust Bank and United Community Bank will serve her well in her capacity as MCB’s new Training Coordinator. With an emphasis on Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance and operational training, she will oversee the training of new tellers, development of training schedules and presentation materials, and coordination of outside training opportunities.

The newest teller at the Limited Centre in Johnson City, Laura “Sissy” Kelly has also worked for First Bank and Trust Co and Fort Sill National Bank in Kingsport. She brings 23 years’ worth of customer service, sales, and head/vault teller experience to MCB.

MCB Announces Relocation of N. Peters Road Branch to Cedar Bluff Location

Mountain Commerce Bank , with roots dating back to 1910, has announced the relocation of the current branch located at 249 N. Peters Road to a new location at 320 N. Cedar Bluff Road, Suite 101. The new branch is scheduled to open for business on September 2, 2008.

As part of the growth strategy for Knoxville, MCB chose to relocate the N. Peters Road branch to provide more banking convenience for customers. The new Cedar Bluff branch is approximately one-half mile from the N. Peters Drive branch and is located at the corner of Executive Park Drive and Cedar Bluff Road. It features a two-lane drive-thru, ATM that dispenses cash and accepts deposits, easy entry and exit access to the building, and an after hours night deposit drop.

“When we began evaluating the possible locations for our new branch, we kept our customers at the top of our minds,” said Tim Topham, EVP & Regional President of MCB for the Knoxville market. ”We chose our new Cedar Bluff location because it offers more convenience that makes everyday banking easy for our customers.”

Promotions at Mountain Commerce Bank reinforce strong leadership

Mountain Commerce Bank announced today the promotion of six of its key personnel. These new positions signal MCB’s ongoing investment in cultivating strong leaders and rewarding employees for their commitment to excellence. MCB believes that clients should know and trust the people who manage their money.

The bank’s chief financial officer, Kenneth W. Adams was named executive vice president. Kevin W. Horne was promoted to executive vice president and area president for Northeast Tennessee. Vice president Barbara Broshears was promoted to chief compliance officer. Regenia B. Ellis was promoted to assistant vice president and will serve as corporate secretary. Assistant vice president Whit Whitehurst has been named special assets manager, and Michael Saporito was appointed banking officer in the commercial banking division.

MCB Announces Morristown Grand Opening April 10th

Today, Mountain Commerce Bank, with roots dating back to 1910, announced the grand opening of its seventh location. Located at 2657 W. Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN, the new branch is currently open for business and is scheduled to hold a grand opening event and ribbon cutting ceremony on April 10, 2008, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

MCB is scheduled to open four new branches in 2008. Coalition for Kids Receives a Holiday Gift From MCB

Coalition For Kids recently received a large donation from Mountain Commerce Bank (MCB). In September 2007, MCB pledged a gift of $5,000 and on Thursday, December 13, 2007, presented Coalition For Kids with a check for that dollar amount. A group of 30 to 40 people gathered at “The Rock” for the presentation, at 2308 Watauga Road, Johnson City.

When a new company makes a commitment to the community through their service as well as their giving back, we are assured to have grown stronger with them being here.
