What is Remote Merchant Capture?
Remote Merchant Capture, also known as Remote Check Image Capture, is the service that allows a user to scan a check and transmit the encrypted scanned images to the bank for posting and clearing.
What are the requirements?
All your business needs is an internet-connected computer and a check scanner provided by MCB. Check images are transmitted over an encrypted connection to MCB who processes the checks like a normal deposit.
What else is Remote Deposit Capture called?
Remote Deposit Capture often has different names, such as “Corporate Capture”, “Merchant Capture,” “Image Deposits,” “Image Cash Letters,” etc. All of these names provide the same service – the truncation of checks to facilitate electronic processing.
